FAN PROFILE

Our most distant fan in the spotlight so far is this weeks Fan of the Week Jim Kirk. Although originally from Castle Douglas Jim now resides in Vancouver over on the West Coast of Canada. Jim works as a retail manager in Vancouver but admits to missing the "quiet way of life", over here in Dumfriesshire, although we must say Jim it certainly hasn't been quiet this week!.

Jim's family ties to Queens go way back to the 1920's and 30's when his grandfather played in goal for Queens. His support over his 43 years has been almost continuous since birth having realised at the age of three that he was a Queens supporter born and bred.

His favourite players past and present are Jim Patterson and Stevie Mallan, Jim for being "fearless" and Stevie for getting the goals. His most memorable match was his first that he attended versus Dundee United way back on November 30th 1963, when the game finished 1-1.
