The twenty-three year old spent a few years at Millwall before featuring in the Conference in England. Has taken his chance to stake a claim for the No.1 spot recently with injury to Colin Scott and certainly looks an assured keeper who commands his area very well. Has also just signed up for a year's extension on his contract that will see him at Palmerston into 2006.

10/07/74 Durham Midfield Forest Green, Bristol Rovers, Gateshead Bowser joined from Unibond premier division side Gateshead in February 2002, an attacking midfielder who scored no fewer than fifty one goals in his one hundred and eighty eight appearances for the North East side. His performances at Gateshead attracted the attention of a number of league sides. Scooped every player of the season award that he could have last term and the season previous. Has firmly established himself as a hero at Palmerston with performances that demonstrate that he is one of the star midfielders in this league.

Impressive left sided player who seems equally at home at left-back or on the left side of midfield. A couple of shaky performances has seen him displaced by David Craig but has come fighting back recently.

06/08/84 Dumfries Midfielder QOS Youth A tricky wide player, Willie made an explosive start to his Queens career when he came on as a substitute in the last game of the 2000/01 season and won the Man of the Match award. After injury he came back last term and won a number of MoM's before losing his place in the side but laterly came back in and impressed yet again on the left hand side of midfield. An enigmatic player who tends to drift in and out of games, but when he is in the mood can turn the match for you.

13/02/81 Glasgow Forward Partick Thistle, East Stirling (L), Queen of the South (L), Partick Thistle, Stirling Albion (L), Dunfermline Joined Partick Thistle as a youngster and came through their youth setup to turn professional with them. Joined Queens on a one month loan deal in February 2002 and immediately impressed, signed up at Palmerston 2002 close season in a move that delighted both the fans and the player. Disappointed at the start of last term and was farmed out to third division Stirling Albion where he scored regularly and caught the attention of the Dunfermline management who signed him on a six month contract. Re-joined Queens at the back end of 2004 and has shown the form that he demonstrated earlier in his career scoring regularly and proving that he is the liveliest of strikers on the books at Palmerston at present.

A tough tackling midfielder who can be relied upon to steady things up. His performances are crucial in allowing the more attack minded midfielders space to get forward. His contribution often goes un-noticed by many Queens fans, but when his is missing the team do not 'tick' in quite the same way.

17/09/76 Irvine Midfielder West Bromwich Albion, Tottenham Hotspur, Partick Thistle, Dunfermline Athletic, Livingston, Clydebank, Stranraer, Alloa Athletic The influential midfielder had been training with the side since pre-season and only an injury picked up whilst scoring against Barrow denied the former Partick player an earlier deal. He signed as a free agent in September.

14/05/74 Bellshill Midfielder Giffnock BC, Celtic, Airdrie(L), Dundee United, Wigan Athletic, Ayr United, Queen of the South, St.Johnstone Former Celtic right winger having made almost 100 first team appearances for the Bhoys, joined close season 2002 from Ayr United and after a succesful spell left for full-time football at Perth. Opted to re-join Queens this term to the delight of the fans. A real traditional 'quality' footballer. Has played upfront, just behind a lone striker or on the left to equal effect.

Signed despite interest from Blackpool, Carlisle, Shrewsbury, Stevenage and a number of other Conference sides. Has shown already that he has a keen eye for goal and can strike from anywhere.

Is one of the best footballers at Palmerston who is presently favoured in an attacking right-back position and was one of the sides top performers last term. Has again shown his undoubted quality this term with a number of 'top notch' performances. Was being pursued by a number of first division sides to sign a pre-contract agreement but opted to stay at Palmerston and has signed up again for the Doonhamers.

23/12/83 Glasgow Defender Aberdeen Signed in the January 2004 transfer window from Aberdeen on an eighteen month contract. Right sided younster who has shown great promise. Makes most of his appearances from the bench, sometimes to great effect - take for example the two minute appearance at Partick earlier in the season where he cracked in the winning goal in the last minute.

Will take up a dual coaching/playing role this term. Has come back from injury and resumed where he left off with a steadying influence on the back four and a tightening of the defensive line.

Joined from Clydebank four seasons ago and when fit has proven an excellent 'keeper. Spends too much time on the sidelines with injury but when fit is an excellent shot stopper and commands the box well. Presently out injured.

15/05/71 Stirling Central Defender Clyde, Stenhousemuir, Queen of the South, Arbroath Returned from a two year spell at Arbroath 2001 close season, always a favourite with the Doonhamers support has shown the form that won him the Player of the Year award at Palmerston in 1998/99 season. Fell out with the previous manager but has now settled his differences and will be a key part of the push for the title this term. So far this season JT is the 'star' performer.

Has featured at centre forward, centre half, right back and left back so far this season, scoring when up front and winning man of the match awards when at the back. Our Mr Versatile and someone you would always want in your side.

24/02/85 Glasgow Midfield Dundee United Tall central midfield player who has featured recently for the Scotland Under 19 squad and who comes to Palmerston with a reputation for scoring his fair share of goals from midfield. Has been unfortunate in his time at Queens so far as injuries have restricted his ability to train regularly and as a result his chance of first team appearances has been hampered. Released at the end of the season.

A superb worker on the right side of midfield who has a fantastic work rate and comes in with a few crucial strikes when needed, usually from the edge of the box. Signed a publicised pre-contract with St Johnstone in January 2005 and was promptly released.

20/04/85 Ashington Forward Newcastle United, Sunderland, Blyth Spartans Eighteen year old forward signed as a free agent following a short spell at Blyth Spartans after being released by Sunderland in February 2004. Played in the same youth side as Chris Scott whilst at the 'Stadium of Light'. Signed on a short term contract by Iain Scott after training with the side for a few weeks and impressing the boss with his pace and determination. Made only a brief first team substitute appearance before being released.
